Our Missions is pleased to be able to help support several
missions programs through it's member's generous donations to Faith Promise
Giving.
The Faith Promise Giving program encourages members to donate
above and beyond what they normally give in the regular offering to go directly
toward the Missions Programs. (Click
here for more detail.)
Special Missions Announcents:
Trips in consideration for 2008, 2009, and 2010, see a missions
committee member if you have any interest in going on a rewarding Short Term
Missions Trip (STM). There are opportunities in 2008 for Japan
and Papau New Guinea as well as a possible trip to either Ecuador or Brazil.

MISSIONS HIGHLIGHTS
K-12 Scholarship Application
The AOBC Missions Board, via the Faith Promise program, is accepting
applications for scholarships for K-12 students attending Christian schools.
Applicants must be a member of AOBC. Applications are renewable each year,
but are not guaranteed and are contingent uponfunding at the AOBC annual
business meeting each January. Amount of scholarship will be dependent
upon the number of applicants. At this time, it is estimated that
scholarships will be
approximately $100 per student.
The applications are located in the media rack next to the Missions
bulletin board in the foyer.

Missions 2001 Trips: There were three very
successful missions trips in 2001.
Missions
2002 Trips: There were two missions trips to Ecuador in 2002.
One team evangelistic trip in July by nine AOBC members, and one medical trip by
three AOBC members.
The
Spooner Files! --- The Spooners are on Furlough for 2007.
While mostly in New York with Becky's family, they will also be in the AOBC area
from time to time.

Mission Highlights:
Gideon's International,
(Franklin and Wachusett camps), places and
distributes more than 45,000,000 Scriptures worldwide. (info from
March, 2001).
LCM (Life
Changing Ministries), Headed by Ted Wareing, works to
spread the good news of the Gospel in South America, by organizing,
through churches or businesses, teams of individuals who would like to help
these people. (updated with info. from7 November, 2002).

Sifredo Mendez. Minister in the
Chaichi village of Picahaycu in Ecuador. Rotated out, new minister took
over in August 2007.
Larry Buckman,
(HCJB), Larry has lead several of our missions teams. Working
with HCJB, (Heralding Christ Jesus Birth, radio ministry), Larry is very active
in South America and is working in Brazil nearly full time with his wife Fay.
Felix and
Noralba,
Felix
and Noralba Valencia of Anchayacu, Ecuador are missionaries enrolled by LCM. (Updated
